Our school strives to not only to
" nurture every PL-Lite into a whole person who lives in favour with God and man "
like what our mission is or to create
" an outstanding school producing women of fine character with a passion for life and learning"
like what our vision is, but our school also instills G.R.A.C.E into every PL-Lite.
A PL-Lite will have to show our school values, G.R.A.C.E in our lives. She is well-mannered and appreciates life. She is cultured and possesses a sense of wonder and joy in life.
Each letter of Grace stands for a value that every PL-Lite has to have.
G stands for Godliness
R stands for Respect
A stands for All-round excellence
C stands for commitment
E stands for enthusiasm
I think it is good that our school aims to instill such things in every student, ensuring that each PL-Lite has not only IQ but EQ as well. Having all those values will help us, students grow up to be women of fine character. Many schools do not have these values and they only work on academic and such. It is great that our school is teaching students things that are important in life other an results.
As in some families where both parents are working , they do not have the time to teach their children values like these, the school takes a step forward and helps to teach them to us instead. We learn the values during devotions and chapel too.
Even though our school is a christian school, it does not mean that the non-christians do not need to have these values. The values are meant for everyone, whichever race or religion that you may have.
Also, in PL, each of us has a chance to lead, to be able to put all our values and everything that we have learnt over the years to the test. PL also provides us with the necessary training for leadership as well as many other things. We learn how to be a good team member as well as how to be a good leader and have good leadership skills.
In the end, the G.R.A.C.E values are the source of how we can become the people that we are now.
